Our Story, Vision & Leadership

Who We Are

Gangber Environmental Foundation (गंगबेर एन्वायरमेंटल फाउंडेशन) is a registered environmental non-profit dedicated to revitalizing village ecosystems through groundwater soak pits, native tree afforestation, and zero-waste community drives in Chhattisgarh.

Origin & Mission

Protecting Nature, Restoring Village Water & Habitats

Founded in Bemetara district, Chhattisgarh, Gangber Environmental Foundation was born from a pressing rural need: depleting ground aquifers, loss of native shade canopies, and unmanaged village runoff.

We mobilize farmers, rural youth, women self-help groups, and schools to construct low-cost soak pits that directly recharge underground aquifers, while planting indigenous trees (Neem, Peepal, Banyan, Jamun) that thrive in local soil and support native wildlife.

Every single rupee and volunteer hour is accounted for and channelled directly toward on-ground ecological projects with zero bureaucracy.

What We Do

The Three Pillars of Our Environmental Mission

We focus on practical, sustainable, and scientifically proven rural conservation models.

🌳

Native Afforestation

Planting hardy indigenous trees like Neem, Banyan, Peepal, and Jamun along rural roadsides, ponds, and public grounds to restore biodiversity.

💧

Groundwater Soak Pits

Constructing specialized filter soak pits around village hand-pumps and drains to eliminate stagnant puddles and recharge local aquifers.

♻️

Zero-Waste Villages

Promoting organic waste composting, eradicating single-use plastics in rural markets, and conducting school eco-awareness workshops.
